Sam Rayburn Fishing Report March 9, 2011

Fishing continues to be excellent. Bass are in all stages of the spawn, but the majority are still staging in 4-10 feet. Lake level is currently 156.75. Rattle-traps are doing the most damage on the outside edge of the grass. Reds, chromes, and pumpkinseed are working best. Swim jigs in White Shadow, Toledo Perch, and Mean Green. We also have the new colors, River Bream and Bluegrass. Gambler Flappys, Little EZ’s, Bass Kandi speed bugs, Reaction skinny dippers, and Fat Albert grubs. Deeper fish still biting on Biffle Hard Heads and Biffle Bugs. We have a large supply of heads and bugs. Hot areas are the Canyons, Caney, Buck Bay, and Five Fingers.
